Why English?

My English teacher told me to write a text about my transference from Sociology to English. Before this school year started, I was in a serious doubt. "Should I choose English or Sociology?"- I asked everyone. People just told me that Sociology was more important than English and I followed their advice. Stupid. Sociology didn't correspond to my or any of my friends expectations. In part, it was my Sociology teacher's fault. So, when I had the chance, I transfered myself to English and I'm enjoying it!
